Ann is a second-year Masters student under the superior direction of Pete August and Y.Q. Wang. She is a Teaching Assistant for Pete's NRS 410 GIS lab. She was previously a Graduate Assistant in the EDC lab, designing and maintaining websites for the Environmental Data Center, the National and New England Water Quality Programs, RIGIS, RI Geospatial Extension Program, BayMap, and almost any other website hosted on the EDC's servers. She is also the co-system administrator for the network of servers and workstations in the EDC lab. She works part-time at NUWC Newport with other EDC colleagues and alumni.
Ann's Master project utilizing GIS technology to characterize the landscape ecology of conservation lands in Rhode Island.
For recreation, Ann enjoys reading, cooking, travelling, filling her iPod, watching football, going to the Martha's Vineyard, and just hanging out at home with her dog.
