(MrSID formatted images)
True color, 1-meter resolution orthophotographs from the Summer of 2003 are now available for direct download! Use the interactive image below to download these images. Simply click on the tile you wish to download. Some internet browsers may prefer that you right-click on the desired tile, then choose 'save target as' or the like. These download files range from 4 to 5 MB in size.
These image files are offered in both GeoTIFF and MrSID (MG2) format. Metadata are included with each image. An index of these images is available both in coverage and shapefile format.
Note: Do your forests have a purple tint when looking at these images with your GIS software? Try DISABLING any histogram stretch. For example, ESRI's ArcMap applies standard deviation stretch by default. Disabling this corrects the color in the image.
Note: If you were planning on importing these compressed images into a geodatabase, consider downloading the GeoTIFF's instead, reducing the possiblity of missing pixels being introduced into your database.
