The RIGIS website generally works very well with download manager software. Download managers are designed to help users download large groups of files off websites. One useful feature of such software is that many will let you setup a job ahead of time, letting you start it before you leave work for the day, allowing you to let your computer download files for you automatically overnight. For example, you could choose to download the entire 2003/04 orthophotograph collection from RIGIS at one sitting. Rather than choosing to download one file at a time, a download manager can automatically add all the zip files off any given webapage, saving you some hassle.

There are a number of free download managers available online. Two favorites that have worked very well for many RIGIS data users are the "FlashGot" and "DownThemAll!" add-ons for the Firefox web browser.

If you spend some time searching the Internet, you'll find more download manager software options available for free or purchase for a variety of operating systems.
