1962 Georeferenced Historical Land-Cover Maps

Scanned, panchromatic, georeferenced maps representing land-cover in Rhode Island in 1962. Original maps were interpreted by John Kupa and William Whitman of the University of Rhode Island, and published in approximately 1972. Maps were subsequently scanned and georeferenced by a partnership of the University of Rhode Island Department of Natural Resources Science and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management in 2010.
