After stereoscopic study and delineation of land cover types, the identifications were transferred by vertical sketch masters to US Geological Survey topographic maps at a scale of 1:2000. In 2010 a set of maps retained by Frank Golet of URI was scanned by Paul Jordan of RIDEM (dpi 600 x 600, 11569 x 15885 Pixels), and then georegistered by Bill Buffum at URI using ArcGIS 9.3 with an adjust transformation for rectification. Most of the georegistration was done with the RIGIS Neatline. In a few cases where this was not possible, it was done with Atlas_imageryBaseMapsEarthCover_NGS_Topographic_Maps.
