Student Pricing Standard Information Communiqué

We offer student licensing of ArcView 9x at a significant discount from the commercial pricing.  You have several options to choose from as well.

Option 1

A perpetual license of ArcView 9x which is just as is (no upgrades or tech support included) costs $250 - no maintenance cost.

A perpetual license of any of the ArcGIS extensions would be $150.  Again there is no option for upgrade or tech support.

Option 2

One year student license of ArcView 9x + Spatial Analyst, 3-D Analyst, Geostatistical Analyst, ArcPress, Maplex and StreetMaps would cost $100.  There is no maintenance, tech support or upgrade options and the license expires one year after activation.

Option 3

Purchase the "Getting to Know ArcGIS" book for $64.95 which includes a CD with a 6 month trial version of ArcView 9x and 30 evaluation versions of the extensions.

Option 4

Request a free 60 day evaluation version of ArcView 9x

Note that you can only evaluate software once so you can't opt for that route and continually request another evaluation license.

We require one of two items to prove student status to obtain the Educational discount. ESRI is pretty strict on adhering to the requirements, and we wouldn't want to disappoint you with an unfulfilled order.

You may purchase the "Getting to Know ArcGIS" book for $59.95 with the CD, online at our web site, or you may order through Danvers Regional Office, with a credit card.

Thoughts to consider for the future - the software has a one year expiration @$100. Had you purchased at this time, it would "time out" March of next year, potentially not providing the usage you might need (you mentioned a 2-yr. course).  Also, we will have an update available this Summer with new features and enhancements you may need to use in your Fall coursework.
