Rhode Island Natural History Survey
The Environmental Data Center collaborates with the Rhode Island Natural History Survey on a wide range of natural resource projects involving geospatial data development, analysis, distribution and management. The RINHS consists of member organizations and individuals seeking to further knowledge and understanding of Rhode Island's biota, geology, and ecosystems.
With representation on our Boards from federal and state agencies, academic institutions, NGOs, professional organizations, and private companies, RINHS serves as the umbrella organization for ecological information in Rhode Island, and works to provide sound scientific data that can be used to help make informed management decisions.
