Description:

Abstract:: In 2000, each observed piping plover brood was located on the map by estimating a UTM location from the field map. This is the estimated centroids of broods observed by the plover monitoring team. This theme should not be confused with additional brood location themes that were GPS’d and used during the 2year brood study. These locations were included in the table and theme. The range was determined and the centroids were based on the calculated range. This is only for broods foraging on the north end of Assateague.
Purpose:: The purpose of this data set is to provide information to aid in the location of Piping Plover Broods.
Supplemental_Information: There is also Piping Plover nest and habitat data available.
