<PRE ID="original">The data stored in this geodatabase was provided by the Maryland Coastal Bays Program to Assateague National Seashore (ASIS) in the Spring of 2006.  The data portrays a variety of information concerning sensivive areas and resources within the Maryland Coastal Bays, to the west of ASIS, including hydrographic information, boundary information, and sesnitive areas for specific species.

The data was provided as shapefles in the Maryland State Plane Coordinate System, and converted to a Personal Geodatabase, in the UTM, zone 18N, NAD83 coordinate system.

Most feature classes contain more detailed metadata descriptions.  If more information is needed, please contact the GIS Specialist at ASIS (asis_gis@nps.gov).</PRE>
