Measure - Using this tool, the user is able to measure distances along a line. The simplest measure would be between two points, but there is no maximum to the number of segments in the line. The user must wait for the map to reload each time a new point is added. Units of measure are set by the user using the "Set Units" tool. To clear the route of measure, use the "Clear Selection" button.

Set Units - Opens a display window where the user can set both the map units and the display units. Map units refer to the data, and display units are used for the "Measure" and "Buffer" tools. The default for the map units is degrees.

Clear Selection - Click to clear selected features, buffers, or selection lines/polygons.

Print - Opens a window allowing the user to print a map of the display. The user selects a name for the map, and the software designs a simple map with a title, locus map, legend, north arrow and scale.
